Me and Bryce’s first objective was to build shelter. We had three main ideas, really, but only one of them worked.
The first one was tried was to build it sideways, but it didn’t stick, it collapsed into itself. The second idea was like a teepee but we used really big sticks but it fell because they were too heavy.
The third and last idea was a success and we built it a different kind of way: we used bigger sticks for the foundation and smaller sticks for the top. And then we made sure it stuck and we put magnolia leaves around it. Then we wrapped a tarp around it and put a blanket inside of it. We made pillows out of the leaves and put a cloth over them, and made sure it stuck. We tested it out and it was successful against strong winds.
